Angela Elain Gambrel: United States; I am a curious person. I love people, and abhor war and cruelty. I value peace, tolerance, and above all, forgiveness. Things often move me to cry or laugh or simply wonder at this world. I am sometimes frightened, but I always return to strength. I never give up. My Goodreads review of "Black Like Me"

Black Like Me by John Howard Griffin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've read this book several times and absolutely loved it. Therefore I am reading it again for my thesis.

An enlightening look how life was for African-Americans in the Southern United States during the early 1960s from the perspective of a white man who disguises himself as black for six weeks. A must read for those who are interested in race relations and American history.
